Lollapalooza returns to Grant Park in Chicago for four days in late July and early August 2026, continuing its run as one of the most iconic music festivals in the world. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan, Lollapalooza draws over 100,000 fans per day across eight stages of rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic, and indie music.

What Makes Lolla Special

Founded by Perry Farrell in 1991 as a touring festival, Lollapalooza found its permanent home in Chicago's Grant Park in 2005 and has grown into the city's defining summer cultural event. The festival's downtown location is unmatched - you can see the Willis Tower and the skyline of the Loop from the main stage, and Lake Michigan is a short walk from the grounds. After the music ends each night, Chicago's legendary restaurant and bar scene becomes an extension of the festival experience.

The programming spans the full spectrum of contemporary popular music. Recent headliners have included Billie Eilish, J-Hope, The Killers, Metallica, Dua Lipa, and Green Day. The undercard typically features 170+ artists across four days, with dedicated stages for electronic music, emerging indie acts, and international performers. Kidzapalooza provides family-friendly programming, making Lollapalooza one of the few major festivals with genuine all-ages appeal.
