Target Field is an outdoor ballpark in Minnesota, which sounds insane until you experience it on a perfect July evening. The Minneapolis skyline fills the background beyond right field, the sunset lights everything up, and the weather is actually gorgeous. Then April comes and you're wearing four layers and questioning every life choice. That's part of the charm.
The Twins fanbase is deeply loyal and incredibly knowledgeable about baseball. These are people who followed Kirby Puckett's career pitch by pitch and can tell you exactly where they were for Game 7 of the '91 Series. The tradition runs deep in the Twin Cities, and Target Field was built to honor that - no gimmicks, just great baseball in a beautiful setting.
The food game at Target Field is surprisingly stacked. Murray's Steak Sandwich is the signature item - carved prime rib on a roll, and it's outstanding. The Kramarczuk's sausages are a Minneapolis institution. For craft beer, the local brewery presence is heavy - Surly, Indeed, Fulton are all represented. You're in one of America's best beer cities, after all.
Before the game, the North Loop neighborhood is right there with restaurants like The Bachelor Farmer and Bar La Grassa. After the game, First Avenue (where Prince filmed Purple Rain) is a few blocks away if you want to keep the night going. Target Field proves you don't need a dome to have an amazing baseball experience. You just need good baseball and better fans. Minnesota's got both.
