Great American Ball Park sits right on the Ohio River, and the views from the upper deck are legitimately gorgeous. You've got the river, the Roebling Suspension Bridge, and the Kentucky hills all in one panorama. It's one of those ballparks where you forget to watch the game for a second because the backdrop is that good.
The Reds are the oldest professional baseball team in America. Like, literally the first ones to do this. Cincinnati invented professional baseball, and the fans carry that legacy with pride. The Big Red Machine era - Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan - is still talked about like it happened last week.
Before the game, The Banks district right outside the stadium is loaded with options. Moerlein Lager House is the go-to for pregame beers. For food, Skyline Chili is a Cincinnati institution - just know that "chili" here means something different than what you're expecting. It's on spaghetti. With cheese. Trust the process.
Inside the park, grab a LaRosa's pizza slice or a Skyline coney dog. The Reds have one of the more underrated game-day experiences in baseball - the crowd is knowledgeable, the park is beautiful, and you're watching baseball where professional baseball literally started. Find Reds tickets on Evil Tickets. That's pretty hard to beat.
