Arizona Diamondbacks
Retractable roof, a pool in the outfield, and 115-degree heat outside. Welcome to baseball in the desert.

Chase Field is one of those ballparks that just makes sense. Retractable roof, air conditioning when it's 115 outside, and a pool behind the outfield wall. Yeah, a pool. You can literally watch a game while floating in the deep end. Try doing that at Yankee Stadium.
The D-backs play in a division with the Dodgers and Padres, so you're almost always guaranteed some heated matchups when those teams roll through. The energy picks up fast when a divisional rival is in town, and the fans at Chase Field let you know about it. It's not the biggest crowd in baseball, but it's one of the loudest per capita when things get going.
Before the game, hit up the restaurants along Jackson Street downtown. Pizzeria Bianco is a 10-minute walk from the park and serves some of the best pizza you'll have anywhere. After the game, if you're still standing in that desert heat, the bars on Roosevelt Row are where everybody ends up.
Arizona baseball has had some all-time moments - the 2001 World Series walk-off against the Yankees is still one of the greatest finishes in sports history. If you're catching a game at Chase Field, you're sitting in the building where Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling made history. Not a bad seat in the house, either. Find D-backs tickets on Evil Tickets and get yourself into that air-conditioned paradise.
