Coors Field sits right in the middle of LoDo, and there might not be a better downtown ballpark location in the country. You walk out of Union Station, stroll a few blocks past the breweries and rooftop bars, and suddenly you're at a baseball game with the Rocky Mountains framing the outfield. It's absurdly scenic.
The Rockies play at altitude, which means baseballs fly. Like, really fly. Coors Field is famous for its offense, and if you like seeing the ball leave the yard, this is your spot. The thin air turns routine fly balls into home runs, and the games tend to be high-scoring slugfests. It's baseball chaos in the best way.
The rooftop deck in right field is the place to be. Grab a Blue Moon (it was literally invented here in the brewery attached to the stadium) and post up with a view of the mountains. For food, the Rocky Mountain Oysters are... an experience. If you know, you know. If you don't, maybe stick with a green chile cheeseburger instead.
Before the game, hit up Falling Rock Tap House - it's a block from the park and has one of the best beer selections in Denver. After the last out, the bars on Blake Street and Larimer Street are right there waiting. You don't even have to try to find the postgame scene - it finds you. Baseball at a mile high just hits different.
