Bumbershoot 2026
Bumbershoot returns to Seattle Center for Labor Day weekend 2026, continuing a tradition that started in 1971. What began as a city-run arts festival has evolved into one of the Pacific Northwest's biggest multi-genre music events, set against the backdrop of the Space Needle and the Seattle skyline.
What Makes Bumbershoot Different
Most festivals pick a lane - rock, electronic, hip-hop. Bumbershoot picks all of them. The lineup spans indie, pop, hip-hop, electronic, and comedy across multiple stages at Seattle Center, the same campus that houses the MoPOP (Museum of Pop Culture) and the Space Needle. You can catch a headliner on the main stage, duck into a comedy set, and still make it to an emerging artist showcase - all without leaving the grounds.
The festival's location is also its secret weapon. Unlike remote festival grounds that require camping or shuttle buses, Bumbershoot sits in the middle of Seattle. Capitol Hill bars and restaurants are a short ride away, and the Monorail connects directly to downtown. After the last set, you can be eating ramen in International District in twenty minutes.
