Mission Ballroom is Denver's newest big music venue and it immediately became one of the best in the entire country from night one. Located in the heart of RiNo (River North Art District), this place was designed from the ground up by the same people behind some of the nation's top venues, and you can feel the difference the second you walk in the door. The sound is pristine, the floor is angled so everyone can actually see the stage (a detail that seems obvious but most venues get embarrassingly wrong), and the capacity of 3,950 hits that perfect sweet spot between intimate and epic.
The venue opened in 2019 and immediately started pulling headliners and major tours. Nathaniel Rateliff (a Denver local and perfect choice) played the inaugural show, and since then the calendar has been absolutely nonstop. The booking is genre-agnostic and consistently excellent: indie, hip-hop, electronic, country, metal, comedy - if an artist is big enough to draw 4,000 people but wants a room that still feels like a real concert and not a convention center with folding chairs, they play Mission Ballroom. The LED screens are massive, the lighting rig is professional-grade, and the bar service is surprisingly fast for a room this size.
RiNo is Denver's art-and-food corridor, and the pregame options around the venue are outstanding. Hop Alley does Sichuan food that's aggressively good in the best way. Cart-Driver right there on Larimer does Neapolitan pizza out of a converted shipping container (it's cooler than it sounds, trust us). And Ratio Beerworks is a block away for a pre-show craft beer in a taproom that feels very authentically Denver.
If you're seeing a show in Denver, Mission Ballroom is the room you want to be in. Browse what's coming up on Evil Tickets and experience why everyone's talking about this place.
