CMA Fest takes over downtown Nashville every June for four days of country music that turns the entire city into one giant honky-tonk. Officially the Country Music Association Music Festival, this is the biggest country music fan event on the planet - and it's been running since 1972.

What Makes CMA Fest Special

The nightly stadium concerts at Nissan Stadium are the headliners - think Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and Morgan Wallen performing for 60,000 fans on the banks of the Cumberland River. But the daytime is where CMA Fest really shines. Free stages along Lower Broadway and at Ascend Amphitheater host dozens of artists across every corner of country, bluegrass, Americana, and Southern rock. The Fan Fair X at the convention center lets you meet artists, get autographs, and buy merch directly from up-and-coming acts.

Nashville in June is hot, humid, and absolutely electric. The entire downtown strip is walking distance - Lower Broadway honky-tonks, Tootsie's, Robert's Western World - they're all right there and they're all packed. If you're a country fan and you haven't done CMA Fest, put it on the list.
