In January 2019 the Blues were last in the NHL. They won the Cup that June. "Gloria" by Laura Branigan became the fight song. Enterprise Center has not been the same place since.

Enterprise Center holds about 18,096 for hockey and sits in downtown St. Louis at 14th and Clark. The 2019 Stanley Cup run is one of the more compelling stories in recent hockey history - last place in the entire league on January 3rd, first-round exit candidates by February, Cup champions by June. The "Gloria" anthem started when an equipment manager played Laura Branigan's 1982 hit in the locker room after a win and the team credited it with turning the season around. The building played it at every home game through the playoff run and the city adopted it as a civic rallying song in a way that still surfaces at Blues events.
Ballpark Village on Clark Street adjacent to Busch Stadium is the go-to pregame destination in this corner of downtown St. Louis. The sports bar complex handles large crowds and the location between Busch Stadium and Enterprise Center means there's almost always something going on. The surrounding downtown blocks have bars and restaurants that serve the game-night crowd. The MetroLink light rail has a Convention Center station two blocks from Enterprise Center that provides access from both the Missouri and Illinois sides of the metro area.
The Blues fan base is Blue Note faithful in a way that survived decades before the 2019 championship and has been energized since. The Central Division produces meaningful rivalry games against Colorado, Minnesota, and Nashville that drive the best atmospheres at Enterprise Center.
