Dodger Stadium is perched up in Chavez Ravine like a baseball cathedral overlooking the entire city. On a clear LA evening, you've got the San Gabriel Mountains behind the outfield, palm trees swaying, and the sunset painting everything gold. There's a reason this place has been selling out since the 1960s.
The Dodgers fans show up late and leave early - that's the running joke, and sometimes it's true - but when this team is in the hunt (which is basically every year lately), the energy in this stadium is absolutely electric. Playoff games at Dodger Stadium are a different animal. The crowd is standing, the chants are nonstop, and you can feel the building vibrate.
The Dodger Dog is the most famous ballpark food item in America, and yeah, you're getting one. It's a 10-inch grilled hot dog that's been a staple since 1962. Pair it with a Michelada from one of the vendors walking the aisles and you're doing game day right. The new concourse additions have brought in some solid LA food options too - think birria tacos and elote.
Getting to Dodger Stadium is its own adventure (LA traffic is no joke), so plan ahead. Take the Dodger Stadium Express bus from Union Station - it's free with your game ticket and saves you the parking headache. After the game, hit up any taqueria on Sunset Boulevard and debrief on what just happened. LA baseball is a vibe, and Dodger Stadium is the epicenter.
