Cleveland Cavaliers
The Block. The Shot. A 52-year drought ended. Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is where Cleveland celebrated.
Upcoming Events
Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland is where The King brought a championship home. LeBron James's block, Kyrie Irving's three, and the 2016 title that ended Cleveland's 52-year championship drought - it all happened in this building (well, the Oracle version of this building, but the energy transferred). The city erupted, the parade was a million people deep, and Cleveland finally had its moment.
Cavs fans are passionate and loud, especially when the team is competing. The FieldHouse has gotten a massive renovation that turned it into one of the nicest arenas in the NBA - modern concourses, excellent sightlines, and a game-day atmosphere that picks up fast when things get competitive. The young roster has given the fanbase a new reason to pack the house.
The arena is right in the middle of downtown, walking distance from everything. East 4th Street is the pregame go-to - Lola Bistro, Mabel's BBQ (Michael Symon again), and Butcher and the Brewer are all right there. The beer and food scene in Cleveland has exploded, and the area around the arena reflects that transformation perfectly.
After the game, the Flats and Ohio City have the nightlife covered. Great Lakes Brewing Company, Market Garden Brewery, and a growing list of bars make the postgame scene easy. Cleveland waited half a century for a championship. The Cavs delivered one of the greatest comebacks in sports history to make it happen. That energy is waiting for you every time the lights come on. Get yourself a seat and feel what championship basketball did to this city.
