Citizens Bank Park is right in the heart of the South Philly sports complex, and Phillies fans are exactly what you'd expect from Philadelphia. Loud, opinionated, will absolutely boo their own team if they're playing soft, and will cheer louder than any fanbase in baseball when things go right. Philly doesn't do lukewarm - you're either in or you're out.
The 2022 World Series run reminded the entire country what Phillies fans are capable of. The stadium was shaking - literally, seismographs picked up tremors during home runs. The "Dancing on My Own" celebration became a viral moment. And the fans? They showed up in force, every single night, with an intensity that made opposing teams visibly uncomfortable.
For food, you're getting a cheesesteak. This is Philadelphia - it's the law. Tony Luke's has a stand inside the stadium, and their roast pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe might actually be better than the cheesesteak (don't @ us). The crab fries from Chickie's & Pete's are another Citizens Bank Park original that you can't skip.
Before the game, walk across the parking lot to Xfinity Live! - it's the pregame headquarters for the entire sports complex. After the game, hit up East Passyunk for Italian food that'll make you forget about the score. Philly fans are the most intense in baseball, and Citizens Bank Park is their coliseum. Come ready or don't come at all.
