Atlanta Hawks
Trae Young turns State Farm Arena into a highlight reel every night. The renovation made it one of the cleanest NBA buildings in the South.
Upcoming Events
State Farm Arena sits in the middle of downtown Atlanta and it shows - the building got a serious overhaul a few years back and the result is one of the better NBA arenas in the South. The concourses are open, the food is actually good, and sightlines are clean from pretty much every level. When Trae Young is cooking, the place gets genuinely loud and the upper deck starts jumping with the lower bowl.
Hawks fans have a specific energy - it is Atlanta energy, which means laid back until suddenly it is not. The home crowd comes alive in the fourth quarter and Trae has given them plenty of reasons to stay until the final buzzer. The courtside celebrity sightings are a real thing here - you never quite know who is sitting nearby in the lower bowl.
Pregame, the CNN Center area just across the street has options, and Centennial Olympic Park is a short walk if you want some air before tip-off. MARTA is the move if you do not want to deal with downtown parking - the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena station drops you right at the door. The parking garages fill fast on big nights and the prices reflect that.
The Hawks run a fast, guard-heavy offense that makes games fun to watch live - the pace keeps you locked in all 48 minutes. Trae has ice in his veins and he genuinely seems to enjoy the late-game moments, which is not something every star player can say.
