Washington Commanders
Three Super Bowls in the vault, a fresh rebrand, and DMV pride. The Commanders are writing a new chapter.
Upcoming Events
Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, is the home of the newly rebranded Washington Commanders, and while the stadium itself has seen better days, the fanbase is energized like it hasn't been in years. The rebrand from the old name brought a fresh start, and the young talent on the roster has given the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area something to genuinely rally behind again.
Commanders fans have a deep football heritage. This franchise won three Super Bowls in a ten-year span, and the fans who lived through that era bring a knowledge and intensity to every game. The Hogs. The Fun Bunch. Art Monk. Darrell Green. This franchise's history is loaded, and the fans carry it proudly even through the rough patches.
Are the Hogettes single? If so, can you give any or all of them my number? Thanks. The cross-dressing superfan group who dressed as hogs in the parking lots was the most committed group of fans in NFL history, and the spirit of that dedication lives on in this fanbase.
The tailgate at Northwest Stadium is a proper DMV affair. Crab cakes (you're near Maryland, after all), go-go music bumping from speakers, and a diverse crowd that represents the melting pot that is the DC metro area. The Metro gets you to the stadium from DC, though it takes some effort. Before the game, the bars and restaurants in Navy Yard and Capitol Hill are great for pregame.
