Jannus Live is genuinely one of the better outdoor music venues in Florida. The courtyard layout holds around 2,000 and the open-air setting in the heart of downtown St. Pete makes every show feel like a private party that just happens to have a headliner. The stage is sized perfectly for the room - no jumbotron needed, no binoculars required from the back. You're just close to the music, in a nice outdoor space, in a city that has excellent weather.

Downtown St. Pete has become one of the better entertainment neighborhoods in the state over the past decade. The Central Avenue corridor near Jannus has excellent restaurants, craft cocktail bars, and the overall energy of a walkable city that's figured out its nightlife. Make a full evening of it - get dinner on Central, walk to the show, and keep things going afterward. The venue books a solid mix of rock, indie, hip-hop, and country; the intimate outdoor setting rewards whatever is playing. Parking is available in the downtown garages and street parking in the surrounding blocks.
