CRSSD Festival

CRSSD Festival happens twice a year at Waterfront Park in downtown San Diego, and it might be the most beautiful festival setting in the country. You're right on the harbor, the sun is setting behind the Coronado Bridge, and the music is the kind of tasteful house and techno that makes you want to move without ever going full rager. It's classy. It's curated. It's very San Diego.

The lineup leans into house, techno, and indie electronic acts, with some live bands mixed in for variety. Past headliners have included Kaytranada, ODESZA, Disclosure, and Fisher, plus a deep roster of underground house and techno artists that the real heads fly in for. If you know names like Chris Lake, Yung Bae, and ZHU, this is your festival.

What makes CRSSD different from other electronic festivals is the crowd. The age restriction (21+) keeps things mellow and mature. No one is raging out of control. People are dancing, drinking good cocktails, and actually listening to the music. It's the kind of festival where you can have a conversation between songs without shouting.

The Waterfront Park location is a ten-minute walk from the Gaslamp Quarter, which means after the festival you're steps from some of San Diego's best restaurants and bars. Hit up Lolita's for a California burrito before the festival, grab a drink at Raised by Wolves after, and you've had a perfect San Diego day.

Weather in San Diego is, well, perfect. Spring or fall edition, you're looking at sunny skies and mid-70s. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen, and leave the jacket at home.
