Here's the trick that makes the Wyly special: the performance space isn't fixed. It reconfigures into proscenium, thrust, arena, or flat-floor depending on the production, so the room you saw last season might look nothing like the room you walk into this time. At 600 seats, you're close no matter which way they've built it - intimate by design, not by accident.
It's home to the Dallas Theater Center, which programs a full run of drama, comedy, and brand-new work alongside visiting productions and dance companies. So the bill swings wide, and the building swings with it. You'll find the Wyly in the Dallas Arts District, right beside the Winspear Opera House - one of the most culture-packed pockets of downtown, with dinner spots a short walk away. Pair it with a drink in the Arts District before curtain and you've got a full night out.
If you like theater that takes chances and a building that refuses to sit still, put the Wyly on your list. Check what's on stage at Evil Tickets and book your seats.
