The Fox is one of those theaters where you spend the first five minutes just staring at the ceiling instead of your program. The interior is a combination of Middle Eastern and Moorish architecture - there's a literal tented ceiling with artificial stars and moving clouds projected onto it. It's over the top in the absolute best way, and somehow it works. The acoustics are exceptional for a 4,600-seat house.
For Broadway tours, this is the premier Atlanta stop. The sightlines are good throughout the orchestra and mezzanine levels; if you're in the balcony, you're further from the action but you get a great overhead view of the stage. The Peachtree Street location is convenient - MARTA's North Avenue station is a short walk, and there are restaurants on the block worth visiting before the curtain goes up.
