You'll find House of Blues tucked into the GreenStreet complex downtown, off Caroline and Dallas St, and the inside is the whole personality: floor-to-ceiling Southern folk art, mojo charms, and bottle caps pressed into every surface. The main floor is general admission standing - get there early if you want the rail - with a balcony up top if you'd rather catch your breath and watch from a seat. Roughly 2,200 capacity means you're never far from the stage no matter where you land.
Show up hungry. The in-house restaurant and bar plates voodoo shrimp and jambalaya, which is the move if you don't want to wander, and if you do, downtown is right there. And if you're up early on a Sunday, the Gospel Brunch is a genuinely good time - food and a full choir before noon. Parking sits in the surrounding garages, so leave a little buffer on a busy night.
The booking calendar here stays loaded across rock, pop, hip-hop, and soul, which makes this one of the most reliable rooms in the city for a mid-size touring show. Browse the House of Blues lineup on Evil Tickets and pick your night.
