Bluebird Theater
One of the smaller venues in Denver, don't be fooled because the Bluebird knows how to bring the noise (did I really just say that?) Great new and local bands pass though here all the time.

The Bluebird is where you go to see the next big thing before they're the next big thing - and then brag about it for years afterward. At around 550 capacity, this is Denver's premier small venue, the kind of place where you're standing close enough to share a setlist with the drummer, and the energy in the room is absolutely crackling because everyone there specifically chose to be here tonight.
Don't let the size fool you - the Bluebird knows how to bring the noise. (Did we really just say that? Yeah, we did, and we stand by it.) Great new and local bands pass through here all the time, and the venue has a history of hosting artists right before they explode into mainstream success. If you see a name on the Bluebird calendar that you half-recognize from a playlist somewhere, buy the ticket immediately. You'll be bragging about it in two years when that artist is selling out arenas and everyone else is paying ten times what you did.
The Bluebird sits on East Colfax in the hip little stretch near the Tattered Cover bookstore, and the neighborhood is stacked with good hangs before and after the show. Sexy Pizza is right there for a quick slice. City O' City across the street is a vegetarian spot that's actually really good (like, even committed meat-eaters go there willingly and enjoy it). And if you want to keep the night going after the show, Thin Man is a cocktail bar just a few doors down that does it right.
This is Denver's artist-development room, the place where Portland and Nashville touring acts play on their way up. Check what's coming through on Evil Tickets and discover your new favorite band before anyone else does.
