The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is a four-block, twelve-acre complex with ten performance spaces, and yes, that's every bit as impressive as it sounds when you see it in person. This is where Denver gets cultured - Broadway touring productions, ballet, opera, the Colorado Symphony, and pretty much every form of performing arts you can name, all under one (very large) roof in the heart of downtown.

There's a good chance you'll feel more worldly after seeing a show here, and that's kind of the whole point. The DCPA hosts the biggest Broadway tours that come through the mountain west - Hamilton, Wicked, The Lion King, Dear Evan Hansen - and the Buell Theatre (the main Broadway house) is a gorgeous 2,884-seat room with excellent acoustics and sightlines that make every seat worth the price. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House next door is one of only three opera houses in the entire country and it's intimate in a way that makes every single seat feel like the best one in the house.

Located downtown right off the 16th Street Mall, the DCPA is surrounded by excellent pre-show dining options. Rioja on Larimer Square is perfect for a nice dinner before the curtain goes up - get the lamb shank and you'll start the evening right. Euclid Hall (if it's still your speed) is a block away for something more casual and fun. And the Cruise Room at the Oxford Hotel is one of Denver's most beautiful bars for a post-show cocktail that feels appropriately elegant.

Whether you're a regular theater-goer or someone who's never seen a Broadway show and wants to start with something spectacular, the DCPA is the spot. Browse what's playing on Evil Tickets and treat yourself to something genuinely different.
