The Ogden is that mid-size Denver venue where shows just feel right every single time. At around 1,600 capacity, it's big enough to attract serious touring talent but intimate enough that you can catch the look on the guitarist's face during a solo. Chris Stapleton and Gucci Mane have both passed through here - not at the same time, obviously, but honestly that would be an absolutely incredible double bill that we'd pay anything to see.
Built in 1917 and sitting on Colfax Avenue (Denver's wildest street, and we mean that affectionately), the Ogden has this old-theater charm with modern sound that makes every show feel special. The room is a classic standing-floor-with-balcony setup, and the balcony is genuinely one of the best spots in all of Denver to watch a show - elevated views, your own dedicated bar, and enough space to actually breathe while everyone downstairs is packed in tight going wild.
The Colfax corridor gives you plenty of pregame options within easy walking distance. Bourbon Grill is right across the street for solid comfort food that hits the spot. Mezcal is a block away if you want tacos and a proper margarita before the show. And if you just want cheap drinks in a no-frills dive bar setting, Nob Hill Inn is a Colfax staple that's been holding it down for the neighborhood forever.
The Ogden consistently books shows that sell out fast - the kind of artists who are about to blow up or who could play bigger rooms but choose this one because the energy is better here. If you see something on the calendar that catches your eye on Evil Tickets, grab it quick. These shows don't sit around waiting.
