The Kimmel Cultural Campus is the institutional core of Philadelphia's performing arts, a Center City complex on Broad Street's Avenue of the Arts that bundles three different rooms under one banner. Verizon Hall seats 2,500 with acclaimed acoustics and hosts the Philadelphia Orchestra, solo recitals, and chamber music. Next door, the Academy of Music dates to 1857 and is one of the most beautiful old-world performance spaces in the country. The Merriam Theater handles the Broadway touring productions.
Because it's three venues, your night depends entirely on which room you're in - so check the ticket. Going for the Orchestra? You want Verizon Hall and its acoustics. Catching a Broadway tour? That's the Merriam. Want to see a performance inside a genuine 19th-century jewel box? The Academy of Music is the bucket-list room. They're all within steps of each other on the same campus.
The Broad Street location sits in the middle of the Avenue of the Arts, with strong dining and transit right outside, so the logistics never get in the way of the night. Browse upcoming Kimmel Cultural Campus events on Evil Tickets and plan your Philadelphia arts evening.
