Paisley Park is Prince's recording studio and performance complex in Chanhassen, the place he designed and built in 1987 and ran as his creative headquarters for the rest of his life. Since his passing in 2016 it operates as a museum and special events venue, and the 65,000-square-foot facility is exactly the maze of rooms and ideas you'd hope it would be.
Inside you'll find working recording studios, a soundstage that doubles as a performance space, and deep archives of his creative work. The guided tours walk you through the building, and the soundstage still hosts special concerts and events. For any Prince fan, this isn't a tourist stop - it's a pilgrimage, and no other music museum gets you this close to the inner world of a major artist. Photo and phone rules inside are strict, so read the guidelines before you make the drive.
Go for a tour, or watch the calendar for the live events in the soundstage when something special is on. Check upcoming Paisley Park events on Evil Tickets and plan your trip out to Prince's creative home.
