Petco Park
Petco Park has more going on than Padres games - concerts on the field, craft beer stands everywhere, and the downtown San Diego skyline sitting right behind you in left field.
Upcoming Events
Petco Park is legitimately one of the most pleasant ballparks in baseball to spend an afternoon at. The East Village downtown location means you're in a walkable neighborhood with real food and drink options, the weather in San Diego is almost always excellent for baseball (it's one of the genuine perks of being a Padres fan), and the craft beer selection in the concourse has been well ahead of the major league average for years. The San Diego skyline in the background of left field is a genuinely nice view.
The Western Metal Supply building incorporated into the left field corner is a real piece of preserved local history - the rooftop deck up there is one of the more interesting places to watch a baseball game anywhere. The seating bowl is compact enough that the upper sections don't feel detached. If you're coming for a concert on the field, the configuration works well for floor standing shows and the surrounding downtown makes it easy to keep the evening going afterward.
Padres tickets and Petco Park concert dates are available on Evil Tickets - game days in San Diego rarely disappoint.
