Saint Andrew's has the kind of room feel you can't fake - exposed brick, high ceilings, and a main hall that holds around 1,000 for standing shows. It's been central to Detroit music for decades, with a real track record of booking national acts early, before the rest of the world caught on. The bar in the main ballroom runs more than 35 feet long, so getting a drink isn't a second event.
The move that sets it apart is the three-venue layout: the main hall up top, The Shelter in the basement for smaller, sweatier nights (yes, the room from Eminem's '8 Mile' lore), and another space for seated events. On a busy night, all three are running. You'll find it in Bricktown, a short walk from Greektown and the casino - so post-show you can keep the night going at Jacoby's German Biergarten or wherever the night points you.
Catch a national headliner upstairs or gamble on an unknown down in the Shelter - both are the right answer. Browse Saint Andrew's shows on Evil Tickets and find your next Detroit night.
