Target Center

Target Center is the downtown Minneapolis arena and the skyway connection is a genuine quality-of-life feature - when it's January and -15 outside, being able to walk from your parking garage or hotel to your seat without stepping into the cold is not a small thing. The Wolves have made Target Center louder recently as the team has gotten good, and playoff atmosphere here is legitimately intense. The Lynx, perennial WNBA contenders, have their own dedicated fanbase that packs the lower bowl on big nights.

The concert calendar here is consistent with mid-size arena touring acts running through regularly. The 20,000-seat capacity puts it in the same tier as most NBA arenas, which means good sight lines and a reasonable walk from the upper bowl to the floor. Nicollet Mall is steps away for pregame eating and drinking, and the Warehouse District has expanded considerably with new options since the arena was built. Metro Transit's light rail Blue and Green lines stop at Nicollet Mall station, which puts you a short walk from the doors.
