The Xcel opened in 2000 as the home of the Minnesota Wild (NHL) in downtown Saint Paul, and it was built to be one of the better hockey arenas in the league - excellent sight lines, excellent ice. That same care pays off on the concert side, where the 17,000-seat room hosts some of the biggest touring acts to roll through the Twin Cities. Wild night or show night, this is a room that was designed for you to actually see what you came for.

For concerts, the floor opens up for general admission with the reserved sections elevated around it - so decide early whether you want to be down in it or up where you can take in the whole stage. Either way you're close enough to matter.

Downtown Saint Paul has built up around the arena over the years, with dining and drinks along the riverfront and around Rice Park for before and after. Find upcoming Xcel Energy Center events on Evil Tickets and grab tickets for the next big Twin Cities night.
