The Paramount Theatre is one of Denver's all-time favorite venues and for very good reason - it does everything and does it all beautifully. Music, comedy, film, special events - the Paramount handles all of it in a gorgeous Art Deco room that opened in 1930 and still looks absolutely stunning almost a century later. There's something about watching a show in a venue with this much history that just makes the whole experience feel more important and more memorable.
At about 1,870 seats, the Paramount sits in that sweet spot between intimate and grand. The ornate interior - think detailed ceiling work, vintage lighting fixtures, and that classic old-theater atmosphere that modern venues try to recreate but never quite nail - adds a layer of elegance to whatever you're watching. Warren Miller ski premieres are a highlight of our winter season (if you know, you know), and the comedy bookings are consistently excellent. The venue also pulls in mid-size concert acts that sound phenomenal in this room because the acoustics were designed for live performance, not basketball games.
Located on Glenarm Place near the 16th Street Mall, you're right in downtown Denver with plenty of options all around you. Wynkoop Brewing Company is a few blocks away and is Colorado's first brewpub - solid food, good beer, and a pool table upstairs for before the show. The Corner Office on Curtis Street does cocktails and a lively atmosphere for pre-show drinks. And if you want a quick, reliable bite, Five Guys on the 16th Street Mall is right there.
The Paramount is one of those venues where every show feels special because the room makes it that way. Check what's coming up on Evil Tickets and enjoy a night in one of Denver's most beautiful buildings.
