The Fillmore Philadelphia

The Fillmore opened in 2015 on Frankford Avenue in Fishtown and it's really three venues stacked into one. The main room holds 2,500 with a standing floor and a mezzanine for the elevated view, the 450-cap Foundry upstairs is the club-within-the-club for smaller touring bands and DJs, and Ajax Hall is the bar-and-lounge for when you want a drink without giving up your spot. Pick the floor if you want to be in it, the mezzanine if you'd rather see the whole stage.

The Fishtown location is the move. You've got Barcade on Frankford Avenue for old-school arcade games and bar food, and Other Half Brewing across the street with a full menu and a beer garden made for killing time before doors. The neighborhood is genuinely good for a pre-show wander, so show up early and make a night of the block, not just the room.
