Keller Auditorium

When a show needs scale, it lands at the Keller. This 3,000-seat hall in the South Park Blocks is home to Portland Opera and Oregon Ballet Theatre, and it's the city's main stop for the Broadway touring series. The size and the technical capabilities are exactly what large-scale opera, full Broadway companies, and major dance productions need to actually pull the whole thing off without compromise.

It's run by Portland'5 Centers for the Arts and sits on a campus with the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall right next door, where the Oregon Symphony plays, plus Antoinette Hatfield Hall rounding out the block. Together they make up Portland's performing arts core, so there's almost always something worth seeing within a few steps of wherever you parked.

The South Park Blocks spot is walkable from downtown and close to Portland State University, which makes it easy to roll a show into a full evening out without much planning.
