Lincoln Road is the pre-show move regardless of what you're seeing: walk the pedestrian mall, grab stone crabs at Joe's Stone Crab if you're feeling flush (get just the claws), or grab a window seat at Spris for wood-fired pizza and people-watch for half an hour before curtain.

GableStage at the Biltmore in Coral Gables is the serious theater room - small, precise, and doing adventurous work that regularly gets regional and national attention. Gramps in Wynwood is the wilder card: a bar with a backyard stage that books stand-up and live music at a casualness that fits the neighborhood. Wynwood is also where you'll find the best murals and the best natural wine bars - wander for an hour before the show and count it as part of the evening.
