Comerica Park

Comerica Park is a baseball-first stadium with a few things that make it stand out beyond the game. The giant tiger statues on top of the scoreboard and the carousel in the outfield give it a quirky Detroit personality. The ballpark sits right in downtown Detroit and the city skyline view from the upper right field sections is legitimately impressive - one of the better urban backdrops in the American League. Grab seats on the first base side for the best view of it.

The surrounding area in downtown Detroit has improved considerably and there are good bar and restaurant options within walking distance of the park, particularly on nearby Woodward Avenue. Parking is available in nearby structures; getting in and out of the garages after a sellout can be slow, so build in some time if you're driving. Summer day games here are good - the park is open enough to catch a breeze.
