Little Caesars Arena

Little Caesars Arena opened in 2017 and the design is genuinely interesting for an arena - the main seating bowl is suspended inside a larger building, and the Via is a covered street-level public space running through the exterior perimeter. You can walk through the Via during events, grab food and drinks from vendors, and watch the game on screens even if you don't have a ticket inside. It's a nice concept that actually works in practice.

Red Wings games here carry on the old Detroit hockey tradition and the atmosphere on a playoff run is excellent. Pistons games are more relaxed but have picked up as the team has improved. For concerts, the arena is a solid mid-size venue at around 20,000 capacity and books major touring acts regularly. The District Detroit area around the arena has developed steadily since the venue opened - there are bar and food options within walking distance that were barely there a few years ago.
