Nationals Park
The Nats play on the Southeast waterfront and the views of the Capitol dome from the upper deck in right field make for one of the better ballpark vistas in the National League.
Upcoming Events
Nationals Park opened in 2008 and was the first major LEED-certified ballpark in the country, which is a nice fact but the real draw is the Capitol dome view from the right field upper deck - it's a genuinely striking backdrop for an afternoon game. The Navy Yard neighborhood around the stadium has transformed completely since the ballpark opened and is now one of the better areas in D.C. for pre and post-game options, with restaurants and bars that didn't exist a few years back.
The Navy Yard Metro stop on the Green Line is right outside the stadium gates and it's the obvious way to get here from anywhere in the city. The Anacostia Riverwalk has open space around the waterfront that makes pre-game walking around the area pleasant. If you're driving from the Virginia or Maryland suburbs, parking in the Navy Yard garages is available but the Metro timing on the Green Line makes it genuinely competitive with driving for most suburb-to-stadium trips.
Nats tickets and the occasional concert at Nationals Park are on Evil Tickets - check availability for the summer schedule.
