NRG Stadium
Home of the Texans and one of the few NFL stadiums with a retractable roof, NRG also hosts the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo - one of the biggest events in America - every spring.
Upcoming Events
NRG Stadium holds 72,000 for Texans games and the retractable roof means the Houston weather is never an excuse to skip a game. The Texans fanbase is loud and the stadium atmosphere on a big game day is genuinely intense. The NRG Park complex also includes the Astrodome and the convention center, so the whole campus gets busy during major events - plan your parking and arrival time accordingly.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo runs through NRG every February and March and is a legitimate bucket-list Houston experience - it's the largest rodeo in the world and the concert lineup that accompanies it is serious. For concerts outside of rodeo season, the stadium configuration handles stadium-scale tours and the floor seats on the field put you in the middle of it. The stadium is accessible via METRO bus; driving is the default for most Houstonians since the light rail doesn't reach it.
Texans tickets and NRG Stadium events are available on Evil Tickets - the rodeo and major concerts book out well in advance.
