Minute Maid Park

Minute Maid Park is one of the better baseball environments in the American League. The retractable roof is the practical reason you can watch baseball in Houston in August without dying, and it opens when the weather is actually nice enough to enjoy the warm air. The old Union Station facade incorporated into the left field wall gives the ballpark real architectural character - it looks like it belongs there, which is rarer than it sounds for a stadium built in 2000.

The Tal's Hill slope in center field was removed a while back, but the train on the left field roof remains a crowd favorite - the miniature steam locomotive rolls out on full-speed after every Astros home run. The Crawford Boxes in left field are the cheapest seats with a real feel for the game. The downtown location means there are restaurants and bars within walking distance, and the garage parking attached to the stadium is the easiest option on a game night.
